Erinn Larkin, host of the 107 Degress podcast about the Maura Murray case, is under investigation in Summit County for menacing by stalking. Last week she was contacted by the assistant prosecutor to answer questions about her actions toward this author. This woman, who works for Aristotle International in D.C., and calls herself "Bernie Sanders' treasurer" believes herself to be a champion of justice, but is currently obstructing justice by ignoring the prosecutors calls.
The investigation stems from Erinn's attempt to extort me. A couple weeks ago she contacted me to let me know she had been given my background report - everything from speeding tickets to that time in college where I stole my car back from a towing lot and got charged with trespassing and assault. That incident was 20 years ago, by the way, and I've had it expunged. Knowingly publishing sealed records is, in itself, a crime. I don't mind talking about it. It's just something I've hopefully grown beyond.
Erinn said she was going to release it if I didn't take this blog down and apologize to the Murrays and Bill Rausch. I did not. And she released it online.
Included in the background report was a map to my home, which I've kept secret because I have children. She also included the names and addresses of my siblings. Which is kind of a big deal because I have a family member who has been hiding from the man who raped them. That man went to prison for many years and is out now. They've gone to great lengths to keep their name off the internet. But Erinn made it public.
Erinn has also attacked and belittled victims of sexual assault allegedly perpetrated by Bill Rausch. And she has knowingly published several libelous statements on her blog.
This is the most frightening thing that's ever happened to me and I'm working with lawyers to figure it all out. There is much more to this that will be coming out in the days to come, including who provided her the report.
A part of me feels bad for Erinn. I offered to be her friend as she burned bridges with the Oxygen crew and Lance and Tim. I watched her poison every contact she had and still offered an ear. I should have known she would turn on me, too. I hope she gets the help she needs.
